Deadlines and ARC Co. Projected Payments

Wheat premiums must be paid on/before 9/30/17 or you may become ineligible to buy crop insurance for the 2018 crop year.

The final plant date to receive full coverage on wheat is 10/20/17. You can still have coverage if the wheat is planted after 10/20, but it will be at a reduced level.

Corn / soybean premiums must be paid on/before 9/30/17 in order to avoid any interest charges.

FSA’s ARC County program for the 2016 / 2017 crop year is projecting payments of $65 –$85 dollars per base acre of corn in most Ohio counties. The source of these estimates is driving from KSU’s estimated Marketing Year Average (MYA) Prices found HERE and NASS county yields, if available, otherwise RMA reported county yields.   The 2016/17 payment will be paid in the fall on 85% of the base acres only. No adjustments were made for any sequestration cuts or for crops planted on non-base acres.
