With a proven legacy dating back to 1991, the licensed agents at Lund & Smith Insurance Services have been focused on delivering expert guidance on the Federal Crop Insurance program as well as other related products. Brian J. Smith
Owner/Agent
Brian started his insurance career in 1991. He is the founding member and one of the managing partners of Lund & Smith. He is married to Dr. Denise Smith (DVM) and they have a son; Daniel. Brian is active in his church and enjoys woodworking in his spare time.
Justin P. Martin
Owner/Agent
Justin graduated with an Agricultural Business degree from The Ohio State University and began his crop insurance career with an underwriting company in 2004. He served as a marketing supervisor for almost 10 years before joining the agency in 2013. He comes from a farm background and still, today operates the 800-acre grain farm he was raised on. Justin and his wife Sarah have four children that attend school in Bellevue and are members of Immaculate Conception Church.
Randy Riegsecker
Agent
Randy started working with crop insurance in the fall of 2003. He farms 900 acres with his son and brother. Randy enjoys serving in many capacities at Shiloh Christian Union Church where he mainly teaches and disciples young people. He actively participates and supports mission work both in the US and internationally and is currently serving as director of Lifewise Academy of Liberty Center. Randy and his wife Jenny have been married for 36 wonderful years and have 3 adult children. As of 2023, Randy has 5 grandchildren.
Ryan A. George
Agent
Ryan has been an agent with Lund & Smith team since 2007. He and his wife Shannon have three children ages 13, 10, and 7. Ryan is currently serving as the President of his local school board and farms with his family. He and his family attend Trinity Lutheran Church in Findlay.
Matt Lust
Agent
Matt has been in the crop insurance business since 2007. He farms with his father and mother and lives on the farm where he was raised. He has 2 daughters. Allison is 15 while Addison is 12. Matt has served as a local 4-H leader for nearly 15 years and enjoys boating in his free time.
Austin George
Agent
Austin graduated with an Agriculture Business degree from The Ohio State University and began his career in agriculture as a grain merchandiser for two different companies. He served as a marketing supervisor for an underwriting company for 4 years starting in 2013 before joining the agency in 2017. Austin and his wife Jessica have 3 children ages 9, 7, and 3. He farms with his family and enjoys traveling in his free time.
Sam Riegsecker
Agent
Sam graduated from the University of Toledo with a Sales and Marketing degree in 2016. After graduation, he worked for a software development company in Toledo before returning to the farm in 2022 to work with his dad, Randy, and his uncle. After the transition to the farm, Sam went back to school to get his Property and Casualty Insurance license and currently writes farm insurance as well as crop insurance. He joined Lund and Smith in the fall of 2022. Sam and his wife, Carlee, have been married for 4 years.
